  1. Review of Director’s Report

Questions were asked relating to enrollment of summer programs and beach sales.

  1. Beach Passes

Beach sales are slightly behind last year’s record pace.

  1. Garden Club

Representatives from the Garden Club came in for their annual visit. They have 85 plots at the Deborah Sampson area, with four on the waiting list. They charge $27 per plot for the right to garden. This includes water and manure. Over 90% of the gardeners are from Sharon.

  1. Sailing

All beginner sailing lessons are full. On pace from last year.

  1. On-Line Registration

63% of all registrations are via the internet. Numbers would be higher but beach tag sales cannot be done via the web.

  1. Camp Update

Registration is down vs 2010. Possible reasons for that include increased competition and format change to the program.

  1. Citizen of the Year

Discussion included a few names but was tabled until June meeting.

  1. New Business

Met with representatives from the East Elementary Pre-school. They were interested in using the Memorial Beach for a year end event for 12-24 families on June 11 from 1130-330.

Motion made by Neil to allow the event. 2nd by Steve. Motion passed 5-0.

  1. Old Business

Speed bumps at Deborah Sampson. Why are they not being used this year. Brett to check with Eric on that.

Where are we on push button tennis court lights? Awaiting bid from companies.
